Halifax Port Authority Director receives Professional Port Manager Designation

November 18, 2014 – Halifax, N.S. – The Halifax Port Authority is pleased to announce Catherine McGrail, Director of Cruise Development and Corporate Affairs, has received her Professional Port Manager (PPM) Designation from the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA). The AAPA/PPM designation is designed for senior-level port directors who are acknowledged as leaders in the port industry and widely respected for their knowledge and experience.

“This is a very significant accomplishment, one that reflects Cathy’s dedication and desire to further develop the cruise industry in Halifax and other Port-related business opportunities,” said Karen Oldfield, President and CEO, Halifax Port Authority. “Cathy has worked very hard toward this well-deserved industry recognition.”

The AAPA/PPM Designation is used to further enhance port management professionalism and share best practices with other industry professionals.
