June 6, 2016 – Halifax, Nova Scotia – The Halifax Port Authority has achieved top marks as measured by Green Marine environmental sustainability criteria. This places the Halifax Port Authority among the top-rated Canadian ports as measured by Green Marine.
The Halifax Port Authority is measured in four Green Marine categories: Greenhouse Gases, Spill Prevention, Community Impacts and Environmental Leadership. In all four categories, Halifax has achieved Level 5 ratings which reflect excellence and leadership.
